Hi, I am Laura Shipp
For 16-years I worked in corporate HR across multiple sectors (IT, finance, power generation and construction). I now offer associate services focusing on leadership coaching and development, psychometrics, mediation and wellbeing.
My training includes:
As an International Coach Federation (ICF) trained professional coach with a background in learning, leadership and talent development I offer a variety of different coaching services. This includes leadership, career, team, conflict, career transition (outplacement), life and wellbeing coaching.
I bring in psychometrics, mediation and NLP techniques when I believe they will support your objectives.
We work in partnership to achieve your desired outcome. I typically recommend six sessions every two to four weeks to achieve this.
"I believe that coaching is a great skill. Laura is a great coach."
Simon Baker, M&A Director
"I couldn’t have done it without you, I would still be stuck and not in a good place - thank you."
Senior Manager, Manufacturing
Psychometrics provide insight into performance and behaviours in a non-emotive way.
Psychometrics I regularly use are the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Hogan suite of tools looking at the bright and dark sides of leadership as well as motivation and values.
I am also trained in NEO-PI-3 (a big five personality traits assessment), Strengthscope and the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ).
We agree in advance what is most suitable based on desired outcome, numbers involved and budget.
"Laura has a great range of strengths in realising the talents of others, from her in-depth technical knowledge through to her insightful communication skills. Laura is open and generous with feedback, having a warm and natural style that puts people at ease and builds their confidence. She has a wide professional knowledge of psychometrics and how best to apply them to get the best value. She is also a highly effective talent programme leader, bringing a combination of the highest professional standards with a down-to-earth, pragmatic attitude and a sense of fun and humour."
Richard Ogden, Occupational Psychologist and Director
I am a fully qualified Civil & Commercial mediator trained by the prestigious London School of Mediation (LSM). I was previously a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I have specialist training in workplace and employment mediation coupled with practical grievance and disciplinary experience in both industrial and professional services settings.
I often combine mediation techniques with MBTI particularly in the case of dysfunctional teams and challenging manager peer relationships.
"Laura did some mediation sessions with one of my clients where the relationship had broken down to the point where the two parties could not even be in the same room together following a grievance that had been upheld. Laura did a fantastic job using a combination of mediation skills and MBTI. She skilfully helped each party to understand how their behavioural styles impacted the other and got them to respect and appreciate what their differences were. The end result was amazing - not only were both parties able to work together but through their new-found understanding had a much stronger relationship and even some good-humoured banter with each other. What a great result thank you Laura. Both parties and the client were extremely pleased with the outcome."
