I have extensive experience of working with multiple generations of the same family. Integrative wellbeing works best when all the family are involved - this includes cooking and learning fun mind tools.
Most of the modalities I offer are available and customised for children and teenagers this includes naturopathic nutrition, kinesiology and flower essence therapy as well as my talking therapies.
I am an Associate Practitioner with Happy Confident Kids®. I hold an enhanced DBS check and a safeguarding children level 1 certification.

Happy Confident Kids & Confident Young People® workshops and online coaching sessions teach children and teenagers the skills and strategies needed to resolve anxiety, build confidence and boost self-belief.
Using coaching techniques from NLP combined with play (where appropriate) the tools offer a unique way to empower and grow resilience from within.
Sessions are typically held with one parent and a child, however, I also provide family sessions. I offer eight workshops:
Workshops can also be tailored to match the needs of your child or teen.
"You did it! Thank you! You got her smiling, trusting and feeling safe. She really enjoyed the session and is excited... being physical helped enormously as she didn't feel so on the spot and overwhelmed with having to speak".
Children can find it difficult to express or articulate how they are feeling.
Happy Confident Kids® have created a way of overcoming this communication barrier and teaching children how they can connect, understand and articulate these emotions.
Using LEGO® as a universal language of expression, children sometimes find it easier to relate to these figures.
Combined with coaching it can help unlock thoughts and feelings which previously may have created negative behaviours. It can support children in finding it easier to communicate, concentrate, feel calmer and more confident.
Please also take a look at the video below and the Happy Confident Kids® website.
To complement the Happy Confident Kids & Confident Young People® core workshops I also offer bite-sized coaching sessions. Typically these are online for 30-minutes but can also be in person.
These sessions allow for consolidation of the tools as well as discussing any emergent challenges. They are particularly useful for teenagers.
Packages are available and are proving popular over the summer holidays.

Often nutrition can be at the root cause of behavioural concerns. I provide naturopathic nutrition support to children and their families.
Naturopathic nutrition integrates traditional naturopathic medicine with science based nutritional therapy and recognises we have a unique interaction with nutrients.
For more details on how naturopathic nutrition may be able to support your child please refer to my naturopathic nutrition page.
Dr Campbell-McBride the creator of the Gut & Psychology Syndrome and Gut & Physiology Syndrome (GAPS™) nutritional protocol has a degree in medicine, and post-graduate degrees in neurology and human nutrition.
When her son was given an autism diagnosis she looked at ways to support him. She discovered the vital connection between the health of a person's gut and the health of their brain, as well as the rest of their body. As a result Dr Campbell-McBride has designed a highly successful protocol for diagnoses including autism, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD and dyslexia.
Kinesiology uses muscle response testing for energetic biofeedback to identify where emotional, chemical, physical and energetic imbalances are. I find children make the best kinesiology clients as they come completely open-minded and love what they often call "wow" and "magic" moments. I have been called a "witch" before by one of my child clients which I took as a compliment.
"She is buzzing - I can’t thank you enough. She is excited again. You did so well with her, she isn’t the easiest of clients, lol. It was nice she felt comfortable talking to you to tell you what is wrong as she wouldn’t tell the doctors etc. She is a happy girl with her new diet! She is already dancing in front of the mirror again".
For more details on how kinesiology may be able to support your child please refer to my kinesiology page.
I have found that using the psychology of colour to select flower essences is a great way for children to open up and talk about their emotions.
A session with your child lasts up to 30 minutes and includes their bespoke essence. A parent is typically present in the room depending on the age of the child. This way a parent can support a shy child and also get an insight into emotions which may have not been previously articulated. Often parents like to experience the flower essence selection too and this is possible in a one-hour session.
"We had a zoom session using coloured flash cards to help ascertain what was causing my daughter's anxieties and which flower essences may help calm her a little. It was a quick and fascinating activity that she really enjoyed. Laura made it fun and engaged really well with Anaïs. We still have some of the drops left and Anaïs uses them whenever she feels a bit overwhelmed. This is what Anaïs wanted to add:
I took the flower essence that Laura made for me the night before my first day of secondary school after lockdown. It really calmed me down, because I was really nervous. It's really calming and works magnificently. Another fun and helpful activity was the stress relieving balloon... I loved blowing up the imaginary balloon and filling it with everything that was bothering me and then pretending to pop it. Thank you so much Laura".
